As a Resident Engineer, your day-to-day activities will include:
  • If successful growing our presence with MBTA, potentially increased manager responsibilities.
  • Serve as point of contact between the client, the general contractor, and the CM staff.
  • Effectively manage field and office staff in performing their daily duties.
  • Verify that the required material inspection and testing is performed and documented.
  • Support project control management for review and processing of change orders and schedule updates.
  • Coordinate with Quality Manager and support verification of standard quality requirements.
  • Review and approve contractor pay applications.
  • Hold weekly construction meetings and prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Ensure documents required by contract are collected from the contractor.
  • Assist with the final Project Report.
  • Interfacing with client's web-based project management system for document control purposes and business process execution.
  • Gather documents, reports, and photos from CM field staff and prepare for official submission.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in concert with contractors, consultants, and clients
  • Ability to keep client satisfaction a top priority
  • E-Builder, BIM, and Power BI experience is a significant advantage
  • Willingness to grow, learn, lead, and develop/expand Arcadis business.
  • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelors degree in Engineering, or related field.
  • 15 years of experience on transportation construction projects.
  • MBTA experience is required.
  • Massachusettss P.E. License is required.
