Sr. Software Engineer - MN

Note: This is a full-time, direct-hire, W2 position. This position is ONSITE in MN. No C2C, 3rd party or H-1B. We appreciate all of our applicants, but we are not able to sponsor at this time. Market leader in providing real-time x-ray and 2D & 3D industrial CT scanning services used to verify the integrity of internal components has an immediate opening for a Software Engineer (C# & C++). As part of our software team, your role will be to propose and lead development projects to create state-of-the-art software for X-ray imaging. Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Design and develop software for computed tomography and digital radiography acquisition, processing and visualization
  • Establish and conduct validation methods for new software and algorithms
  • Create technical reports and publications that describe new software functionality and its application
  • Communicate new developments and findings to internal and external customers
  • Investigate new technologies and algorithms to improve software performance using parallelization and GPUs
  • Develop and support software interfaces to a variety of hardware devices: X-ray detectors, X-rays sources, optical cameras and motion components
  • Help maintain legacy code and participate in platform architecture evolution

Required Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or Mathematics

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years software development experience
  • Proficient in object-oriented programming (C++, C# or Java)
  • Self-motivated, flexible and customer focused

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree (Masters or PhD) in Computer Science or related area
  • Experience working in a research and development environment
  • Skilled in one or more of the following:
    • GPU programming
    • 3D computer graphics
    • Image processing
    • Computer vision
    • Computed tomography
    • Data science
