About This Role
Textron Systems' recent growth has established the need for a full time Principle level Mechanical Engineer with experience in mechanical design focused on electro-mechanical systems for military applications. The candidate should have experience serving as a project lead and mentoring others and should have strong communications and presentation skills and be comfortable interacting with senior management and customer representatives. Should also have experience in the \"design/build/test\" process. This position requires that the candidate be a US citizen with or capable of receiving a secret level security clearance
Qualifications
1. The candidate should be comfortable as a lead designer of mechanical systems with electro-mechanical integration skills primarily for military applications. The candidate should be well versed in CAD design and understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
2. Working knowledge of ANSI Y 14.5 dimensioning and tolerancing to develop meaningful design documentation.
3. Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) skills a plus.
4. Proficiency with any of the following tools is a plus:
+ Unigraphics (UG) NX
+ Nastran FE Analysis
+ Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
+ ADAMS Dynamic Modeling
+ Zemax Optical Analysis Tool
+ This position requires that the candidate be a US citizen with or capable of receiving a secret level security clearance.
Education
BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
Experience
15+ Years minimum in related field
