Provide technicianlevel support to product development engineering with electro-mechanical prototypingand testing of new and existing Dymax UV cure, dispense and filling equipment.
Perform assigned tests on curing equipment to support product development
Assemble prototype electronic or electro-mechanical devices or modules from drawings and direction from engineers
Measure and collect data using various techniques including UV radiometry and spectral analysis.
Perform software validation of device firmware per engineering direction.
Interpret electrical schematics and mechanical CAD drawings for fabrication of proof of concept prototypes components and assemblies or troubleshooting component design.
Take specific direction from engineers, project managers and the engineering manager.
Conduct experiments with mechanical, electrical and pneumatic prototypes to validate new design.
Associates degree (A.E., A.S., or A.A.) or higher in engineering or a physical science from an accredited college preferred.
2-5 years of experience in an electronics/mechanics engineering laboratory environment
Previous experience preferred:
Assembly of electrical cabling and electrical circuits
Familiarity with optical testing of illumination devices
Rework of components on printed circuits using standard IPC soldering methods
IPC certification is a plus
Proficiency with multi-meters, oscilloscopes and power management test equipment
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel for data collection and report generation
Ability to follow a written procedure, with attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks in an accurate manner
Solild understanding of electro-mechanical systems
