Power Acoustics Technology (PAT) develops motor technologies to support and improve the Navy's propulsion plants. This Electrical Engineering position will primarily focus on motor drive control systems. Much of this work is related to advancing electric propulsion technologies or other electrical component technologies. The successful candidate will work on existing projects as well as have the opportunity to lead teams of test engineers on potential future projects.

Job Requirements

Advanced:

  • BS degree in engineering or Bachelor's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of four years relevant experience; or
  • MS degree in engineering or Master's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years relevant experience
  • Senior:

  • BS degree in engineering or Bachelor's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of six years relevant experience; or
  • MS degree in engineering or Master's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of four years relevant experience
  • Job Preferred Skills

    Experience with electric motors, motor drives and controls.

    Some experience with data analysis and multi-disciplinary system modeling.

    Experience with Matlab and Simulink.
