Primary Purpose The Program Coordinator is responsible for providing technical assistance and supportive supervision of outreach programs tailored to constituency groups. S/he will work with the Senior Director to design, implement, and monitor program functions to ensure effectiveness of activities.

Minimum Specifications Education

Must have a Bachelor's degree Experience

Must have two (2) years of experience as program coordinator as well as engaging a range of diverse audiences.

Equivalent Education and/or Experience

May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above.


Must have a Texas Class C. Driver License and be insurable. Must have access to an automobile.

Required Tests for Placement Skills or Special Abilities

Demonstrated experience planning, implementing, and monitoring program components.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Ability to establish, communicate and maintain cooperative working relationships with diverse communities.

Demonstated ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects and meet critical deadlines.

Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office software applications.

Bilingual preferred.


Develop and implement effective outreach strategies that meet identified needs and opportunities. This includes, but not limited to informational activities, linkage to community resources and preventive services. Coordinate all activities within the program or project: create system for data collection in collaboration with internal staff; recruit staff to accomplish program or project function; implement evaluation and success metrics to ensure program effectiveness. Cultivate and leverage partnerships with stakeholders, including faith-based institutions, neighborhood associations and community-based organizations. Identify and/or recommend opportunities for new community or agency relationships. Create and maintain a comprehensive and diverse database of community stakeholders. Assist with the creation and maintenance of marketing and communication pieces as directed. Serve as community liaison for program or project.
