As an Environmental Health and Safety Manager with multi-site responsibility, this leader will play a key role in the overall performance and success of our business. This position develops and implements environmental, health and safety programs and processes to ensure compliance with the Heico EHS management system and applicable regulatory requirements. This leader will also influence and participate in the overall strategic business planning for Wakefield-Vette. We are seeking a well experienced manager with excellent and diverse EHS credentials who knows how to leverage resources and works well with employees across all sites and levels within the organization. The EHS Manager will report directly to the President and will have a strong indirect and functional relationship with the Platform EHS Director. This position requires 40% domestic travel.

5 to 10 years ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops and oversees the EHS improvement initiatives and the daily management of on-going EHS operations across multiple sites. Implements and manages the Corporate EHS management system. Oversee & delivers EHS employee training programs and facilitates training topics. Provide leadership to senior management team regarding the EHS strategic objectives and regulatory compliance issues which are in line with corporate goals and objectives.

Liaise with other department leads to encourage a collaborative spirit and training and enforcement of company-wide safety standards. Champions the safety committee and is a staunch advocate for Environmental and Health Safety. EXPERIENCE: 5 - 10 years? experience in an EHS focused leadership position. BS degree in EHS or related discipline is preferred. Strong working knowledge of applicable EHS laws and regulations. Exposure to multi-site responsibilities, to include a fast-paced, multi-site manufacturing organization. Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision, consistently taking initiative to assure tasks are finalized. A collaborative mindset with the ability to lead and embrace a culture of hard work, team work and success. Must be an effective liaison and influencer of site-level customers. Coaches and supports all levels of the organization to ensure effective performance. Ability to manage multiple projects and actions to completion with firm timelines and deliverable dates. Ability to write clearly and concisely for all audiences. Proficiency in MS Office. Certification in an EHS related discipline and/or further education a plus.
